Plastic Landscapes serves as a powerful reminder of our society's reliance on plastics and their impact on the environment.
The primary goal is to raise awareness about the pervasive presence of plastics in our lives and their detrimental effects on the environment. However, it’s also important to acknowledge the benefits that plastics bring to everyday life. Plastics are lightweight, durable, and versatile, making them essential in numerous applications—from packaging that extends the shelf life of food to medical devices that save lives. By constructing visually striking, abstract representations of natural scenes from plastic debris, the project seeks to inspire conversations about sustainability and the urgent need for change, while also recognizing the complex role plastics play in modern society. This dual focus can lead to more informed discussions about finding sustainable alternatives and improving plastic waste management, ultimately fostering a healthier relationship with this ubiquitous material.
